Pancakes ("naleśniki") are commonly eaten as a second and main dish during the day ("obiad"). Preparation time is really short. They may be used as a base for sweet or dry dishes.

Ingredients (for two; 7-8 portions):
- 2 glasses of flour
- 1 or 2 eggs
- 1-2 glasses of water
- a bit of oil/olive
- pinch of salt
- a bit of sugar/cooking flavour (if you want)
Mix dry ingredients together, then add part of the water (or water mixed with milk), oil and eggs. Mix the the batter until smooth, pouring some water from time to time - the batter must look like a liquid coffe cream.
Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium high heat. Pour a small portion of the batter (3-4 table spoons) to cover the pan completely. When the pancake will start moving when after you shake the pan back and forth, flip a pan cake. Repeat that until you spot some brown places.

"Naleśniki" may be served with sweet fruity jams, sugar, whipped cream or non-sweet stuffing - as you like.
Here is one example:
- 1 lump of curd cheese (pic) - 100 g
- 1 tee spoon of sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- pinch of salt
- a bit of vanilla sugar
Mix all of those with a fork, then spread it on a pancake and make a roll. Sprinkle the rolls with powdered sugar.
